A good rule of thumb that can be applied to coffee cups, glasses, plates, and bowls is that you only need enough to for two full days. Yes, this means that you need to do dishes every other day, but if you normally cook at least one meal a day, you will be doing the dishes anyways. Additionally, you only need one set of silverware, not three. If you want to keep a set of dishes and silverware for special occasions, that is fine, but they do not need to be on the shelves in your kitchen.
At one point, kitchens had silverware drawers, maybe a dish strainer, and possibly a canister to hold the big spoons. But today the possibilities are endless when it comes to kitchen storage. Some of the more common items are spice racks, shelf inserts, storage canisters, and my personal favorite, lid holders. These items have made kitchens more organized and 100% more functional.
When it comes to spices, it is essential to preserve the flavor or risks letting them go stale. Again, a solution is found for it. Actually, there are plenty of ways to store it, it can be done with a storage jar or a dedicated storage medium. This is simply called a Spice Storage, a cylindrical storage medium that comes with mounting racks that can mounted on the wall. It can be mounted on the wall or even at the side of a Cabinet for easy access.
